He participated also in international summer schools with Andras Adorjan, Robert Aitken and Barthold Kuijken.

From 1979 to 1982 he was a co-principal flutist of the Lamoureux Symphony Orchestra in Paris, as well as holding teaching positions at the conservatories of Limoges and Amiens, and performing widely as a soloist.

Since 1983 Martial Nardeau has lived in Iceland, where he is principal flutist of the Icelandic Opera Orchestra and the Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra, performs frequently as soloist, and teaches at the Reykjavík College of Music. He has visited many countries as a soloist and played in the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, The Philharmonic Halls of St. Petersburg and Cologne, The Beethoven Hall in Bonn, in Amsterdam, in Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Ljubljana, Prague, in Scandinavia, in the United States of America (soloist at the Convention of the National Flute Association of America) and at music festivals in France (Lubéron, Creuilly) and Germany (Konstanz).  He likes to promote modern music and many pieces have been composed for him.  He performs older music on the baroque flute and also likes to compose in his leisure time (from flute pieces to film music).
