Word-Processing

As not all the students will be working on the same module at the same time the teacher’s role will be one of a facilitator. It is essential that the teacher is competent and confident with the chosen word processing program. The teacher should work through each of the exercises in advance and have some of the solutions to investigative exercises.

The teacher will need to prepare the files for the second session and have them available on disk or on the students’ hard drives so that they can access them if they do not want to type them in. There are three documents: Advertising; Computerphobia and Ergonomics. The teacher should, however, encourage t he students to type the documents in themselves to give them valuable keyboard practice.

The teacher should check that a variety of clip art is available for students and that printing facilities are also available.

The final aim of this module is to enable students to produce an up to date and professional CV.
